Is "View" Betting on Bette?

So rumors are flying all around, Popsters, as to who will be replacing cutey-petutie Rosie on "The View." On the short list, Roxie's sources say, are Roseanne, Connie Chung, Whoopie Goldberg and Bette Midler. Going for some deversity, are we Barbara? Interesting choice with the Divine Miss M herself as she could bring her own big mouth to the small screen but can we see her interviewing other celebs? Whoopie has her own radio show now so it could be a better fit for her. Connie Chung brings nothing to the table for the Roxster except endless chatter about Maurie -- Kathie Lee and her children, anyone?? I only hope Carney Wilson is not on Plan B or C or D for the ladies at the View. Rosie is leaving because she said the network and she couldn't come to an agreement moving forward. Sources say the network wanted a 3-year commitment but the outspoken lesbian wouldn't agree to that long of a term: perhaps she is ready to go back to wearing sensible shoes instead of the designer sneaks she was wearing on the show?
