Rox had the opportunity to spend some time with Lisa Marie Presley, the King's only heir to his throne, a few months back and I was pleasantly surprised at how gracious and kind she is. We were at a Recording Academy event and I was her "escort" for the red carpet. She was quite shy and yet very sure of herself all wrapped into one. Her smokey voice somehow seemed tired and I ended up being more of her protector than her escort -- I didn't mind as we both looked fab in black suits!! And we didn't talk about her dad because it just didn't seem appropriate -- even for Rox. But yesterday, with flickering candles in hand, tens of thousands of Elvis fans marched solemnly through the gates of Graceland to mark the 30th anniversary of the King's death. They came bearing roses, teddy bears and tears as a seemingly endless line of mourners snaked its way up the rolling driveway towards his poolside gravesite. To commemorate the anniversary, Lisa Marie has just recorded a duet with her dad of "In the Ghetto."
