I'm in love. Yes, I've said it. The first step is to admit that you have a crush. My latest crush is Scotland-born singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini. My girlfriend Babs introduced me to him after she became acquainted with him at South by Southwest in Austin this year. She told me Rox would love him and I trust her. I ran out and bought his CD "These Streets" and Babs could not have been more accurate. My love affair started immediately. And listent to Roxie closely, popsters, if you are in a mad mood or a blue mood or a bit on the cranky side, pop this CD in and go immediately to Nutini's latest single "New Shoes." If your toes don't start tapping then you are dead inside. The entire CD is pop/acoustic heaven with a Brit Pop sensibility that makes it incredible hummable without having totally throw-away lyrics. I did my 5-track test (if I love 5 tracks immediatley off an album then it's a Roxie HIT!) and I love 8 out of the 10 tracks. Not too shabby for a bloke now, is it? He's young, cute and talented. If you want great acoustic pop then you run to your store (well, your computer) and purchase Paolo Nutini's "These Streets" ASAP. I wouldn't send you down the wrong road ... Roxie gives "These Streets" a 5-pack of pop out of six.

How can you not love someone named "Paolo?" I'll check him out! Speaking of BritPop, have you heard the Amy Winehouse CD? LOVE HER!!! Please tell me you've heard her! Rox would love it!
