So Rox loves to read especially during the summer months -- and in anticipation of the final (sigh) Harry Potter phenom I've been devouring several books. I've just finished a hilarious memoir that is a must-read for this summer. "Working Stiff: The Misadventures of an Accidental Sexpert" is a poignant and hilarious first book by a fab Brit (from Essex, actually) named Grant Stoddard. Starting out as a shy, virginal boy nicknamed "Grunt," "Working Stiff" is a fab sex-memoir with heart ... thrown into a job with Nerve.com, Stoddard made his mark by experiencing and then writing about "I Did It For Science" -- sexual escapades that ranged from threesomes to bondage to frenchkissing another guy (he is straight, by the way) to "sploshing" (read the book to find out what this is). Stoddard is fast, funny, self-deprecating, daring and compassionate (a mix that is difficult for anyone to balance whether participating in an orgy or being an extra on a porn set -- both of which he did for his "art"). Yes, the book's subject matter would make Roxie's mama blush but at the, well, bottom of the matter is insight into human nature at the most basic and carnal levels. TTGP gives "Stiff" a 5-pack out of six for being able to deal with "dirty" material while always standing tall!
