Hey, Rush Hour 3 took in $50 million and "Stardust" only took in $9 million this weekend. I will fess up to that, biatches. However, I will tell you that I was pleasantly surprised by "Stardust" last night. Think "Princess Bride" meets "Witches of Eastwick" and "In/Out" (see the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about!). "Inconceivalbe?" you say? Darlings, first of all, Michelle Pfeiffer has a one-two punch as two bitchy villainettes with "Hairspray" and now "Stardust" -- she's so fab to watch on the screen and as a wicked witch needing to kill Clare Danes' "Star" she is delightfull! Premise is...Clare/Star falls to earth and lots of people want her -- dead or alive. The script is slapstick and witty, the special effects are gloriously cheesy and everyone is pretty to look at -- it's probably Robert DeNiro's turn as a, well, spry and graceful flying pirate that is the most fun. But how the hell do you market a movie such as this? Word-of-mouth, darlings...word of mouth. Rox gives "Stardust" a 3.5 out of a six-pack ... see it for the fun ... see it for Pfeiffer and DeNiro!!! Roxie: out!
