Bon Jovi, Melissa Etheridge and Alicia Keys

So Rox attended the New York Chapter Recording Academy Honors last week in, well, New York. Being honored were Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys, Donny McClurkin and the creators of West Side Story. It was a who's who of music industry VIPs, darlings. Melissa Etheridge did a medley of Bon Jovi songs and TORE IT UP!! I talked with Richie Sambora who was on a break from rehab and he was gracious, funny and looked fantastic!! Alicia Keys had a fantastic acceptance speech during which she thanked her "partner" which I thought was very exciting ... rumors have abounded since she first broke at the Grammy Awards about which team she played for ... and one of my favorite singer/songwriters Oleta Adams performed on her behalf (she sang that song "Get Here")...Oleta and I actually went to the same church (yes, Rox has gone to church) in Kansas City, Missouri, so it was wonderful to see her!
