The Red Hot Chili Peppers -- those sox-wearing rockers have decided that they need to protect their own intellectual propertification and have sued Showtime and the producers of "Californication" -- starring David Duchovny -- for "unfair competition" for using the title of the band's massive 1999 album withour permission.
