How Did Rox Do with Grammy Picks??

Ah, to be such a music Roxstar, darlings! Well, the Grammy noms were read today and let's see how Rox did with last night's predictions:

BEST NEW ARTIST (*Denotes those predicted by the Roxster)
Taylor Swift*, Amy Winehouse*, Feist (love their CD), Paramore (who?) and Ledisi (Squeeze me??) -- well, 2 out of 5 on this one, RATS!

RECORD OF THE YEAR
Irreplaceable (Beyonce)*, Umbrella (Rihanna)*, Rehab (Winehouse)*, The Pretender (Foo Fighters), What Comes Around...Goes Around (Justin -- AGAIN???) ROX: 3/5

SONG OF THE YEAR
Before He Cheats*, Hey There Delilah*, Rehab*, Umbrella*, Like A Star (love this one by Corinne Bailey Rae, my girl) ROX: 4/5 (gettin' better, darlings!)

ALBUM OF THE YEAR
These Days (Vince Gill), River: The Joni Letters (Herbie Hancock -- ah, that's why he announced this morning but who's heard of this album??), Graduation (Kanye West)*, Back To Black (Amy Winehouse)* -- Rox will take both of these because this is such a random category this year, isn't it? I predict that Winehouse will take West!

Other predictions by Rox -- That Akon and Gwen Stefani would get a nod for "Sweet Escape" (which they did) and A also got a Best Contemporary R&B Album nom for his "Konvicted," a best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Snoop Dogg for "I Wanna Love You.
"Before He Cheats" also got a Best Country Song nom. And interesting enough, a couple of years ago Kelly Clarkson performed "Because of You" on the show and nabbed two Grammys that night. Just so happens that "Because of You" got a nod this year for Reba and Clarkson for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. Yee Haw!! Maroon5 did indeed get a nod for "Makes Me Wonder" in the Pop Performance by a Duo or Group; Fergie did indeed get a nod for "Big Girls Don't Cry" for Pop Female Vocal Performance (along with Ms. Aguilera's suprise nod for "Candyman"). And best of the Holiday Hot List AND Grammy Predictions -- The Davine Miss M /Bette Midler's "Cool Yule" got a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. Way to go, divas!
