Rox's Fave GRAMMY Moments

Ok -- so, as you know, Rox attended the 50th Annual Grammy Awards this past Sunday. And it was quite a show -- unfortunately not many people actually tuned in for the event despite unprecedented marketing by the Academy and CBS because of the "50th". Anywho, Rox's favorite moments (in this order) were: 5) Rihanna -- just cause I love her and I thought the production was FAB! 4) Groban/Bocelli -- goosebumps from start to finish 3) Alicia Keys/Frank Sinatra -- yes it was a flashback of Natalie Cole and her poppa hears ago but if you remember that Ms. Cole simply sang to a giant screen of her dad. Keys actually sang "with" Sinatra thanks to modern technology (and the technical acrobatics the Grammys had to pull off a couple of years ago with Madonna and Gorillaz) Frank was standing at the piano. Fab! 2) Carrie Underwood -- she looked amazing like Shania, sounded like Mariah and the production was top-rate with the dancers beating the hell out of a junkyard. But, of course, Rox's fave was the duet with Beyonce and Tina Turner. At 68 years old (Tina, not Beyonce), it was hard to determine who had more energy and sass between the two divas. And how ridiculous is it that Ms. Aretha (and her very large breasts) issued a statement dissing Beyonce for calling TINA "the Queen." Big ups to B and T for being classing. And, Ms. Aretha, stop eating the four fried chickens and a coke, love. Most boring performances -- the LOVE/Beattles tribute...and anything with John Fogerty singing solo ... thankfully Little Richard and Jerry Lee saved the day. Remind me to tell you offline about Little Richard's tantrum during rehearsals...tee hee!
