Madge's First Concert for "Hard Candy"

Madonna has announced that she will be performing her first concert in support of her new album 'Hard Candy' at New York's famed Roseland Ballroom, adding that she will broadcast the concert on the web.

Warner Bros announced that the "historic event" will happen on April 30, and confirmed that fans will not be able to purchase tickets online, as they will need to line up outside of the venue to receive tickets "on a first come basis".

The performance will be simultaneously broadcast live on the web, however, only US internet users will have access - on May 15, the show will be re-broadcast online for viewers outside of the US.

The Material Girl has also linked the event to telecommunitcations company Verizon, who will reward a number of lucky customers with tickets to the show.

Madonna's new album is scheduled for release on April 29 in US, and on April 28 in all other countries.
