I've known Mr. Brown for several years and of all the celebs I've met, he as a talent and as a kid who knows he's been put on this earth to sing and dance is pretty amazing. He's funny, warm, gentle, caring. When I first heard the reports I thought for sure they were simply internet rumours that were based on telephone-tag and gossipy B.S. like most celeb "breaking news." I was at the Clive Davis party where I saw Chris and Rihanna fighting a bit -- and yes some rumours were right -- it was over Leona Lewis but not because of jealousy per se. Rihanna was constantly dissing Ms. Lewis and Chris continually was asking her to chill out. They left the party early but were all over each other (in a good way) when they left. All I know is that I must believe the best. Here's Chris' statement from today:
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds."
