So when I was a kid I had "the" Farrah poster up on my wall -- ah, the red swim suit, the notoriously cold photo shoot set, the smile ... and all that fabulous Farrah feathered hair. The American Cancer Society says there will only be about 4,600 cases of anal cancer in the U.S. in 2006 so this type of cancer is very rare (affecting a few more women then men and usually detected in folks older than 35, but ask your doctor about early detection tests!). Dealing with cancer is no picnic (trust me) no matter what you call it but for a Pop Icon to deal with something like this has to be physically, emotionally and professionally devastating.
