Today nominations for the 49th Grammy Awards are going to be announced in 108 categories (does EVERYONE get a Grammy? Sheesh). Nonetheless, Rox is predicting a big Grammy year for the chicks of all Chicks....those of Dixie, of course. And they deserve to be talked about because of their MUSIC for goodness sake!!! They should sweep Record, Album and Song of the Year easily! And the new artist category is a really tough one this year...if I were a betting Rox my money would be on Chris Brown, James Blunt, Corinne Bailey Rae (yes, I love her), Carrie Underwood and KT Tunstall! Let's see what those voting members of The Recording Academy think after today's mega press conference (scheduled to help announce are Justin Timberlake, KT Tunstall, Rascal Flatts, Ludacris, Corinne Bailey Rae, Mary J Blige, James Blunt, Amy Lee (from Evanescence), and Chris Brown (wouldn't that be a great Grammy show in itself?!). The presser is scheduled to be live on CNN and XM Radio folks starting at 8 a.m. PT. Goodluck, everyone!!! Hugs, Rox.
