"Globes" and Borin' Warren
Ok...did you watch the Golden Globes? Yes, there were stars, yes there was glamour, and no Sasha Cohen didn't wear the florescent green onesy (thankfully!) but there also was Warren. Beatty that is...Rox now calls him "Borin' Warren." Did you see the whole Cecile B. Demille presentation to him? First of all, Warren's only done, like, six movies -- and one of them was Ishtar -- and secondly, did his publicist not remind him that less is more when accepting the speech??? Rox actually got up in the middle of his speech, flossed my teeth, washed my face, moisturized, and brushed my teeth -- only to return to the television to see "Borin'" still just a-ramblin' away. Enough already ... I wanted to reenact the ending of Bonnie & Clyde. Anywho, I was thrilled that "Dreamgirls" raked it in -- especially with Jennifer Hudson's win as Best Supporting Actress in a Musical/Comedy! Go girl. I am a little tortured at all of the whoopla around "Babel." Have you seen it? If you're totally depressed and want to be pushed over that edge go see "Babel" -- Roxie has given it the dubious award of the most-depressing-never-going-to-let-you-even-think-about-smiling movie ever made (besides Ishtar). But whatever, I was thrilled that Hellen Mirren, Meryl Streep (ugly dress) and our TTGP's Star to Look Out For America Ferrera (how damn cute is she?) all were honored at the Hollywood drunk fest (did you see Annette Benning pounding back the bubbly? Again, Ishtar.). I also was thrilled that newcomer Emily Blunt (hilarious "First Assistant" in "Devil Wears Prada") actually took home some gold herself (not for "First Asssistant" but some BBC blah, blah, blah -- regardless, she's fab). And I thought Mr. Timberlake's acceptance speech on behalf of the vertically challenged Prince was priceless!! For more info, http://theenvelope.latimes.com/.

I didn't see it but the only good one I have seen was Dustin Hoffman's. It was awesome.
