"Sunshine" SAGS!

Who would have thought this little bright spot of a movie called "Little Miss Sunshine" would be the talk of the awards' season, my goodness gravy?!! Congrats goes out as "Sunshine" took the top prize for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild tonight. Let the sunshine in as it now is a front-runner for the Oscar with both SAG and Producers Guild Award wins! And I am oh so happy that both Eddie Murphy and my girl Jennifer Hudson were honored with wins in Best Supporting Role categories for "Dreamgirls" -- with both taking home Golden Globes and SAG Awards they have a great shot at the Oscar! Now, I'm most pleased that Dr. Bailey herself, Chandra Wilson, took home an award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her sassy turn in Grey's Anatomy! Go, girl (and Grey's also won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series). Rox went to the People Magazine after party which was pretty calm, actually. It was pretty good people watching, however ... clearly the cast of "Grey's" was celebrating as a very "happy" Kate Walsh stumbled by us, and I was so deep in conversation with some folks that I didn't realize who brushed behind me (and touched Roxie's arse, actually) until my cohort told me that Eric "McSteamy" Dane had just walked by with that damn wife of his Rebecca Gayheart (I would have scratched her eyes out anyway). I was glad I didn't see Isaiah Washington because I probably would have given him a piece of my Pradas. However, I did see the ever-classy Forest Whitaker who took home Leading Role honors, as well as many of the kids from "Desperate Housewives" (and, ladies and gay men ... the boy who plays Edie's nephew is SO hot in person ... if only he weren't 4-1/2 feet tall...). I did chat with the glorious Vanessa Williams and we talked about our mutual friend Dave Koz who has a new CD of classic movie tunes coming out in February and it features Williams singing "The Way We Were" (it's gorgeous and so is she!!). I tried to stalk, I mean, find "Little Miss Sunshine" Abigail Breslin and my "Dreamgirl" Jennifer Hudson but I couldn't find them/security put a restraining order on the Roxster. Nonetheless, it was a nice party that cleared out by 9:30 p.m. Kudos to the winners (complete list of winners at www.sagawards.org) ... and stay tuned for Grammy updates and more! Kiss, kiss...Rox
