101 Posts on Things That Go Pop!!

Ah, Popsters, life is full of moving from and in between one milestone to another, isn't it, darlings? Well, this is Things That Go Pop's 101st posting!! I hear that the network of Popsters is growing and growing -- coast-to-coast and even globally so cheers to you and all of those who keep us talking Pop 24/7. As Roxie's 101st post I wanted to talk to you about my friend's band that a group of us saw last night at Temple Bar in Santa Monica! My dirty birdy buddy Andy plays lead guitar for The Flobots (http://www.flobots.com/) and this is how they describe themselves: "Flobots-- an elite sqadron of underground emcees, musicians, and artists who have been rocking tapes, cd's, and shows in and around Denver, Boulder, Providence, and Boston since 1995. The latest incarnation of The Flobots is the live band, which features 2 emcees, drums, guitar, bass, a viola, a trumpet, and a helluva party." And let me tell you, the place was totally Roxin' out from the time they took the stage until the time they sadly had to end their set. This mix of U2 and Black Eyed Peas, along with a stage presence of way more seasoned pros, is an intellectual playground with some really impressive rhymes, rhythms and musicianship! Check them out and support this unsigned band. They were flawless. And a big shoutout to my WTD gang. I love you guys a lot!! Rox gives The Flobots performance last night a very enthusiastic 5 Pops out of a 6-pack. Fantastic, everyone, and keep makin' music!!! Love, Rox (the newly self-appointed Flobots Fan Club Prez)!
