SexyBack AND BritneyBack?

So, darlings, Rox's sources have confirmed that Mr. SexyBack Timberlake indeed is interested in dueting with his former flame and supposed "dry" Britney. JT's best friend, the producer de jour Timbaland (who has his own solo CD out in stores now -- with the massive hit that includes JT and Nelly Furtado) has said that he wants to produce the comeback album for Oops-She-Did-It-Again Spears so natch JT is now on board. No word from the pantyless Spears yet as to how, when, where, why or if but she could use all the help she can get resurrecting her star as a Pop Icon instead of Tabloid Heroine. And I do mean "heroine," lovers. Anywho, it does seem as if dueling divas have had a history of ups and downs and comebacks and meltdowns -- look at the sparring that had gone on for years between Mariah and Whitney ... then Mariah had her Glitter/Meltdown and Whitney reigned supreme. Then Whitney had her unfortunate starring role in "Being Bobby Brown" and Mariah had the biggest selling album -- and three Grammys to boot -- in her history. Then Ms. Aguilera and Ms. Spears went head-to-head with Ms. Candyman herself initially picking up a Best New Artists Grammy while Spears became a global force. Then Ms. Aguilera had her dirty (and not "good dirty") phase and fell out of favor with most everyone except skank-lovers. Then as Brit started marrying one random after another, having a Brady-Bunch of kids and forgetting to wear her underwear or seatbelt, Ms. Aguilera revamped and camped her way to multi-platinum and now three hit singles. Hmmm...does this mean it's time for a Whitney/Britney extravaganza of the multi-platinum/multi-Grammy kind? Ah, darlings, one can only hope for that day. One can only hope...
