In some of the most exciting TomKat news in recent history, Rox is happy to report that Katie Holmes -- and her crooked smirk -- will NOT be in the next Batman installment, "The Dark Knight," as planned! Woo hoo. Yippeee, Kadzooksalicious!! One of my fave actors Maggie Gyllenhaal is replacing her or at least she's in final negotiations to do so. Gyllenhaal would play D.A. Rachel Dawes, the love interest to hottie tottie in the tight suit Christian Bale. "Reps" for Katie-Never-Work-Again-Holmes said she couldn't reprise her role because of "scheduling conflicts." Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Perhaps the Church wouldn't let her stray too far away from her ever-tiresome "husband" (did I type that out loud??). Anywho, if you've not heard too much about Gyllenhaal run out and rent the indie "Sherrybaby" or if you like a taste of the totally freaky rent "Secretary" with her and Wonderfully Strange James Spader. Along with Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman will return while Brokeback hottie Heath Ledger has joined as the Joker (don't see it but I also didn't picture him kissing Ms. Maggie's bro high atop the hill so I'll stay open minded). And one of the things I'm really excited about is multi-talented-hotrified Aaron Eckhart will play D.A. Harvey Dent (aka Two-Face). Can't wait, kids, and way to go Maggiebaby!!
