Sleepin' Single in a Digital Bed

Hello, Popsters. I thought this article was interesting, especially as I've been cleaning out my closet full of mix tapes. Yes, TAPES. My grandmama left them to me in her will, you bitches. Anywho, as a hunter of that perfect remix or that rare b-side that no one's ever heard, it's been quite challenging for the Roxster to find good Extended Play (EPs) or remixes (although the 3,000 some odd CD singles that I have PURCHASED might prove otherwise). I do believe the music industry will be going toward only having artists create 2-3 "sure fire hits" without really supporting the creation of an entire album. Wouldn't that be a shame? Yes, it would prevent Jessica Simpson or Paris from creating and releasing to the public 11-12 little jewels but it also would prevent a "Ray of Light" or anything from Green Day or U2 who still can make albums as pieces of art. So as I try and hunt for a device which actually plays TAPES I am looking forward to listening to my "Summer Mix of 1989." Wish me luck (nothing like a great Paula Abdul gem to get you going, am I right?!). Enjoy the read, darlings.
