Another Amy in the News But...

...this one's somehow different!! When I saw my girl Amy Grant at the reception at her agent's office she told me that she was "working on something completely different" but she wouldn't cough up the goods even to the Roxster. I talked to her assistant a few weeks ago who told me Amy has been working on a memoir and the news is out of the bag now so I can talk about it. Now, first of all, quit laughing. Secondly, Amy has a very interesting story to tell from not ever wanting to be famous, to starting in the church, to opening the doors for contemporary Christian acts to go POP, to divorce with a drug-induced first husband, an affair with country superstar Vince Gill and beyond. My girl has a past and you should read about it, darlings! She also is releasing today a complete collection of all of her hits -- both Christian and Pop in a box collection called "Storyteller." Flying Dolphin Press/Waterbrook will publish Amy Grant’s memoir, it was announced today by Suzanne Herz, Publisher, Flying Dolphin Press. MOSAIC: PIECES OF MY LIFE SO FAR will be released on October 16, 2007 and will be published as a trade paperback the following year. “We’ve come to know the much beloved Amy Grant through her remarkable career as a singer and a songwriter. Now she has put pen to paper to deliver a beautifully written and deeply moving memoir that we are very honored to be publishing,” says Herz.

MOSAIC’s publication will coincide with EMI Music Group’s cd release of Amy Grant’s GREATEST HITS on October 2, 2007. EMI has digitally remastered Grant’s entire music catalog and will release the cds on August 14, 2007. Grant’s entire music catalog will be available for the first time online on August 14, 2007 as well.
