The Godfather of Soul is Dead

One of the best James Brown stories I've heard was from a producer friend of mine who works at one of the national entertainment shows. She was doing an interview with Mr. Brown about his autobiography that he released a couple of years ago. The first question to him was, naturally, about his autobiography and what he felt about writing it. He quickly answered, "All lies! Lies, lies." A follow-up question had to be made, of course, and that was, "But Mr. Brown, didn't you WRITE your autobiography?" His brilliant response, "Never read it."
